Mindfulness & Movement

​

Mindfulness is paying full attention to an activity, being aware of your experience without judgment.
Embodiment is how you are in your body in that experience, in the present moment. Listening to our body means being aware of our needs and limits and not pushing our body into places that she doesn’t want to go quite yet.
It’s knowing when she ( our body) says ‘no’, ‘not yet’, ‘let’s try different’ and accepting it for what she needs.
Being able to listen to our body brings self awareness, self awareness helps us to self regulate, self regulation helps us to lead… to lead our life that is truly our own, in line with our values, needs, dreams aspirations.
During our class I need you to remember that you are in charge of your body.
I offer some ideas and guidance but you know and decide put it right for you.
Listening to your ‘no’s’ and ‘yes’’ can be a very powerful practice.

This space is for women of any age, abilities, fitness level. There’s no judgment.
Together we learn how to connect to our inner voice more, to move whichever way feels right, to rest, to reflect.

  • please bring a mat (I have spare if you don’t own one) a blanket, pillow, journal, water

  • wear comfy, cozy clothes

  • expect gentle movement followed by a guided meditation

  • unicorn power provided ;-)

ALL ABILITIES CLASS

No matter how small or inaccessible our movement may appear, the potential for expansion, connection and expression is always possible. ​

My goal is to create a safe and sacred space of compassion for my clients, where they feel comfortable in your own skin and know that you are welcome.

This class is a fun filled dance based practice where we move, laugh and make friends!
